People are frequently surprised that
Siamese cats need to be "rescued"
A surprising number do require help
and the Welfare Officer for the
SPSCC deals with many cases
each year.
Some cats are sadly bereaved of their
owners loving care, some adored cats
need to find new owners due to
changes in family circumstance.
Still more are the victims of serious
neglect, and reach us in
poor condition.
Each of these Siamese share one
thing in common: they must endure a
massive change .... and the loss
of all they have known.
Each requires a new home where they
will find safe haven for the remainder
of their lives.
Not all of the cats on our welfare list are
in the care of the club. Some owners
are anxious to meet prospective new
carers, and their cats remain with them
until a satisfactory placement
can be found.
In this instance, we act as a link and
first contact.
Should you feel able to offer a
permanent, new loving home to a
rescue Siamese,
we would welcome your enquiry.
The Welfare Officer
for the
Seal Point Siamese Cat Club
